Philoptochos Children's Medical Fund Luncheon and Divine Liturgy

The Philoptochos Children's Medical Fund Luncheon hosted by the Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos was held on Saturday, October 31. There were more than 600 people in attendance at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel. The program was led by the Masters of Ceremonies, Maria Stephanos. Frances Levas, Metropolis of Boston Board President, and Maria Logus, National Philoptochos, presented grants to Children’s Hospital in Boston, Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Rhode Island and eight other organizations that assist children with their medical needs. The keynote presenter was Jeanette Clough, President and CEO of Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The gathering was a beautiful tribute to the many children who battle childhood illnesses and the people who make their treatments, care, and therapies possible.

On Sunday November 1, 2015 His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America, His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios of Boston and His Grace Bishop Sevastianos celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England, to conclude the weekend of the National Philoptochos Children's Medical Fund Luncheon.
