Χρήστος Φουστούκος, η πρσσβυτέρα του Κλεοπάτρα, η γραμματέας Ελένη Καλλιὠρας και τα 19 Αμερικανόπουλα, αγόρια και κορίτσια, είχαν την ευκαρία να ζήσουν το τελευταίο βράδυ τους στην Ελλάδα, ένα ελληνικό γλέντι, αφού για μια εβδομάδα φιλοξενήθηκαν στις κατασκηνώσεις της Ιεράς Μητροπόλεώς μας(Ποσείδι και Μακρυνίτσα)

The Kosmos Project 2017 is underway - 25 members of the camping ministries team of the Metropolis of Neapolis and Stavroupolis. They will be immersed in the camping program for Week 5 of the Metropolis of Boston Camp.

The Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos held their Biennial Conference on June 17, 2017 at the Cathedral Center in Brookline. Greetings and opening remarks were extended by His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios, Rev. Fr Demetrios Tonias, Cathedral Dean, Calliope Galatis, president of the Annunciation Cathedral Philoptochos and Frances Levas, Metropolis President.

On Sunday, June 11, 2017 over 800 stewards from throughout New England gathered at Lombardo's in Randolph to honor the recipients who were designated by the parishes of the Metropolis of Boston. Mrs. Cathy Sakellaris was the masters of ceremonies for the evening’s program.

On Sunday, May 21, 2017 His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Sts. Constantine and Helen parish in Andover, MA which was celebrating its feast day.

On Sunday, May 14, 2017 His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the St. George Cathedral in Springfield, MA which is celebrating 110 years since its foundation.

His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios congratulated all the finalists of the Metropolis of Boston Saint John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival! The Metropolis level of the Oratorical Festival was held at the Metropolis headquarters in Brookline, MA on Saturday, May 13, 2017.

His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios is pleased to announce The Kosmos Project: A Journey to Greece, a camping exchange program between the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston and the Metropolis of Neapolis and Stavroupolis, Greece. Juniors and seniors in high school will be given the opportunity to experience a two-week long trip to Greece.

On Sunday March 5, 2017 His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the St. Luke Parish in East Longmeadow, MA. Being the first Sunday of Great Lent - the Sunday of Orthodoxy was celebrated.

As you are well aware, the Holy Eparchial Synod of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America is overseeing the rebuilding of the Saint Nicholas Church which was destroyed during the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001.

On Sunday, February 26, 2017, His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the St. Gregory the Theologian Parish in Mansfield , MA. It was a great joy for His Eminence to tonsure two young altar servers.

On Thursday, February 23rd, the first episode of the 2017 Orthodoxy on Tap series was held at Uno’s Pizzeria in Kenmore Square, Boston, MA. Nearly 100 young adults and faithful from all across the Metropolis gathered for fellowship and to participate in an eye-opening discussion led by Dr. Elizabeth Prodromou of Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.

On the weekend of February 17th-20th the Metropolis of Boston Camp was welcomed to its home at the Saint Methodios Faith and Heritage Center to hold it’s annual GOYA Winter Camp Program by picture perfect weather and enthusiastic Staff. The MBC Staff members welcomed with open arms over 100 campers from throughout the Metropolis and abroad.

On Sunday, January 29, 2017 His Eminence Metropolitan Barnabas of Neapolis and Stavroupolis celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Taxiarche parish in Watertown, MA. His Eminence Metropolitan Barnabas was visiting the Metropolis of Boston accompanied by Fr. Elephtherios Koutsaftakis.

On Saturday January 21st, 2017 His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios, joined by 30 clergymen of the Metropolis of Boston, attended an ecumenical prayer service for the Worldwide Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.

On Saturday January 21st, 2017 His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios welcomed to the Metropolis headquarters Fr. Demetrios Costarakis the Youth Choir of the Saint Nicholas parish in Lexington, and their families.

On Thursday January 19th, 2017 His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios welcomed to the Metropolis headquarters, Fr. Bob Archon and the senior class of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology.

On Sunday, January 1, 2017 His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the St. Vasilios Parish in Peabody, MA on the occasion of their Feast day.

We live in a world of constant turmoil, of financial crisis, of poverty and unemployment, of disillusionment and uncertainty, of confusion and unrest, of pain and suffering. War rages in that part of the world where Christianity flourished for centuries but now is inhabited by only a handful of faithful. Thousands of refugees continue to flee their homelands for far-away countries that are not always welcoming. On a daily basis, we are inundated with news of one crisis after another, of one suicide bomber after another. It is to such a world that the newborn Savior comes this Christmas to bring “Peace on Earth and goodwill among men.”

On the evening of December 5, 2016 His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios, joined by many clergy and faithful from the surrounding area, celebrated the Great Vespers service at the St. Nicholas parish in Lexington, MA on the occasion of their feast day.

BROOKLINE -- Following long-standing ecumenical tradition, the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston invited representatives of the Archdiocese of Boston, Nov. 29, to celebrate the Feast of St. Andrew at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral Center Chapel in Brookline.

On the evening of Tuesday November 29th Hierarchical vespers was celebrated, at the Cathedral chapel in Brookline, MA, for the Feast of St. Andrew the First-called.

Το Σάββατο 12 Νοεμβρίου 2016, πραγματοποιήθηκε Επιμορφωτικό Σεμινάριο για τους Δασκάλους των Ελληνικών Σχολείων της Μητροπόλεως Βοστώνης, υπό την αιγίδα του Σεβασμιωτάτου Μητροπολήτου Βοστώνης κ.κ. Μεθοδίου και με την συνεργασία του Γραφείου Ελληνικής Παιδείας της Αρχιεπισκοπής Αμερικής. Το Σεμινάριο έλαβε χώρα στο κτίριο της Μητροπόλεως στο Brookline MA. Έλαβαν μέρος 70 Δάσκαλοι από όλα σχεδόν τα σχολεία της Μητροπόλεως.

November 16th - Joseph played an important role in the story as well. He was a rather ordinary man who had extraordinary faith. In Orthodox Tradition, we hold that Joseph was an elderly man, who had been widowed. He had children from a previous marriage, who are later referred to as Jesus's brothers and sisters who in reality were half-brothers and half-sisters (see Matt. 13:55-56).Joseph worked as a carpenter—a rather ordinary life.

As you prepare for Parish Council elections, please abide by articles 24, 25, 26, 27, and 31 of the Uniform Parish Regulations of our Archdiocese. Those serving on the Parish Council must be men or women who live the sacramental life of the church, thus providing a sterling example to all the stewards of the Parish.

We offer praise and glory to the Triune God, who deemed us worthy to reach the twenty-fifth anniversary since the day when, by the mandate of our Holy and Sacred Synod, we ascended the martyred Apostolic Throne of the Church of Constantinople.

On Thursday, October 27, 2016, the Rev. Dr. Demetrios Tonias, Dean of the Annunciation Cathedral, delivered a paper on "Reclaiming Sacred Time" at the Lord’s Day Alliance conference on “The Regenerative Sabbath.” The conference explored a series of questions including: "Who controls time?" "How do we spend time?" and "How does our society’s use of time reflect our faith."

Boston,MA. On Thursday October 27, 2016 over 85 young adults gathered at UNO's in Kenmore Square for this year's first Orthodoxy on Tap. The group heard a presentation on the meaning of friendship

- Brookline,MA. For the first time in nearly a decade, the Metropolis of Boston will once again have a Young Adult Basketball League. The league will hold its games at the Pappas Gymnasium of Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology starting Wednesday, November 2, 2016.

Congratulations to one of our very own campers, Paige Davis Zacharakis, who just released her beautiful first single "Better" under her music name--Paige Davis. Paige is a high school junior who is active in our MBC camp as well as in her home parish of St. Phillip in Nashua.

Cardinal Sean P. O’Malley met with more than 40 interfaith leaders Tuesday to discuss strategies to defeat a state ballot measure that would legalize recreational use of marijuana. The Roman Catholic archbishop of Boston warned that making marijuana legal would exacerbate the opioid epidemic, entice more children to use drugs, hurt poor neighborhoods, and threaten public safety.
