What an incredible day. The summer like weather for the end of September was a perfect and appropriate environment for our 17th annual Metropolis camp golf and tennis outing held at the beautiful Indian Ridge Country club in Andover.
This year’s theme was OLI MAZI and it certainly resonated from our sponsors and volunteers to all of our participants. Not only did our 120 golfers enjoy the course but with the additional of tennis this year, the tennis players also got to enjoy the facilities as well.
This great event had 2 distinguished individuals, namely Mr George Behrakis and Mr. George Danis who stepped forward to graciously underwrite this year’s tournament. Along with a generous donation from the Demoulas Foundation, 13 co-chairs, and the many sponsors, patrons, donors and supporters, it was truly a record setting day.
Finally, we were fortunate to have Litsa Pappas serve as our Master of Ceremonies and Jim Kaloyanides serve as our auctioneer. Both of their contributions added to the magic of the evening.
With the unconditional support of His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios, we are very thankful to all who made this an amazing day and one that we sincerely look forward to repeating again next year.
