Metropolitan Methodios Visits St. George Cathedral in Springfield, MA

On Sunday, May 14, 2017 His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the St. George Cathedral in Springfield, MA which is celebrating 110 years since its foundation. His Eminence was offered a memorial for the Metropolitan Philotheos of Meloa who fell asleep in the Lord earlier that week. His Eminence also offered memorial prayers for all the beloved mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers of the community, who played a vital role in the history of the community and who raised their children up within the embrace of the Church.   At the conclusion of the Liturgy, His Eminence elevated Fr. Christopher Stamas to the rank of Oikonomos on the occasion of his celebrating 20 year of ordained ministry.
