WCC Paper on Orthodox Christian-Jewish Relations by Fr. Demetrios Tonias, Metropolis Ecumenical Officer

In 2010, the Rev. Dr. Demetrios Tonias, who serves as an Ecumenical Officer of the Metropolis of Boston, presented a paper at a World Council of Churches conference held in Constantinople on the topic of "Christian Self-Understanding in the Jewish Context." Fr. Demetri, who represents His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios on issues concerning the Orthodox Christian-Jewish dialogue, spoke on the Orthodox Christian view of the Church as New Israel and the ways in which the Orthodox Church can play an important role in the contemporary dialogue.
