2013 Winter Camping Programs Highlights
GOYA Winter Camp: Februray 15 - 18 2013
With over 100 campers and 50 staff we had a SPECTACULAR weekend at our Annual GOYA Winter Camp. Our events kicked off Friday February 15th with our camper arrival and opener by our multi-talented MBC Staff. We spent our time together on Saturday in a traditional camp schedule with a balanced mix of fun, faith, and felowship through various indoor and outdoor activities, sessions, discussions and of course SLEDDING!!
After celebrating Divine Liturgy together on Sunday Morning with His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios we took our annual trip to Pat's Peak where the fun continued with Skiing, Snowboarding, Tubing, KARAOKE (See Below) and of course the WINTER CAMP DANCE where we literally shook the floor (see below).
The weekend wrapped up with a song called Harmony written by Nicole Vankuilenburg who was a a long time camper turned dedicated staff member (see below). We ended our weekend as we do every night at MBC by chanting Lord of the powers together (CLICK HERE to watch a video). See more highlights from the weekend by visiting our Facebook Page (Metropolis of Boston Camp) which features not only photos, but videos of our adventures or check out all the photo's on our Flickr account (flickr.com/mbcamp)!!

Family Winter Camp: March 1 - 3 2013
With over 30 families and 140 participants from across this New England Metropolis, we had a fantastic weekend at the camp in early March. The weather was just cool enough to remind you it's winter, with mounds of snow for sledding and building fun, but not to cold to keep you locked inside. Families had the opportunity to spend time together in activities as well as throughout the camp grounds. The adults spent time with both Dr. Ioanna Chirieac, a child psychologist, and Dr. Philip Mamalakis, a marriage and family therapist, while our younger campers got to spend some time with our talented camp staff. We had a beutiful visit not only from His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios but also His Eminence Metropolitan Varnavas of Thessoloniki who's smile said everything. Our Saturday night Family activity prepared us for the sunday of the prodigal son and our lenten journey of forgiveness towards the ressurrection, check out our Videos  (see below).
