Metropolitan Methodios Visits the Construction Site of St. Demetrios Church in Weston for the Raising of the Main Dome
St. Demetrios Church, Weston: Dome-Raising
Tuesday, July 17th,
was an emotional and blessed day, as His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios—and a
good number of the faithful—witnessed a milestone in the life of the St.
Demetrios community of Weston: the raising of the main dome of its new church
building. This event brings St. Demetrios one step closer toward the completion
of its sanctuary, chapel, atrium and administrative wing.
Fr. Nick Krommydas and Fr. Alex Chetsas, Parish Council members, Building
Committee members, and all stewards and friends of the parish welcomed the
opportunity to celebrate this historic event, prayerfully looking forward to
the completion of this project by year’s end.
Also present were architect Yervant Nahikian and representatives from Themeli
Builders, responsible for the construction.
