Announcing the reprinting of the popular cookbook "The Lenten Collection"

The Lenten CollectionHis Eminence Metropolitan Methodios of Boston announces the reprinting of the popular cookbook "The Lenten Collection". Thousands of copies have been sold throughout the country since the original printing in 1996. A compilation of delicious healthy recipes for all seasons, the cookbook was compiled by Presbytera Calypso "Lee" Karahalios, who tested and retested each recipe working countless hours to insure the best recipe in each category. Many of the recipes "are personal and family favorites; others were graciously given by relatives and friends" says Presbytera Lee in the forward. "With today's health-conscious trend to eat more vegetables and seafood, recipes abound in these categories offering a creative and diverse selection of Lenten fare."

Those who have purchased The Lenten Collection throughout the years, order again and again----to sell at their local festivals or to give to friends who are vegetarians and health conscious. The Collection includes appetizers, salads, soups, main meals, sauces, seafood entrees, breads, pizza and pites, dressings and desserts. An extensive "Culinary Info" section offers hints on cooking with artichokes, dried beans, lentils, capers, cumin, eggplant, fresh grape leaves and herbs, phyllo, etc.
