Metropolitan Methodios Encourages Assistance to Storm Victims

His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios is urging prayers and financial assistance for the victims of the historic storms which ravaged the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, especially the greater Springfield area.  In a letter to the clergy and laity of the Metropolis, His Eminence wrote: 

"Reverend brothers and friends,

             I strongly encourage you to offer financial assistance to our fellow citizens of Massachusetts---especially of the greater Springfield area---who were victims of the tornadoes and thunderstorms which devastated the Commonwealth these past few days.

             The St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral will be coordinating all efforts to assist all those families who have lost homes and business.  Please send your financial assistance c/o St. George Cathedral 22 St. George Road, Springfield, MA 01104.

            I join you in praying that Almighty God embrace all our brethren affected by these storms."
