Metropolitan Methodios Admires Basketball Players

His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios attended the Basketball Championship games on March 13 and enjoyed the opportunity to see so many young people interact in the athletic programs of the Metropolis.  All players were admired by Metropolitan Methodios who while congratulating the championship teams, he said that all players did their best and thus all were winners.  In the JOY Division, the St. Nectarios players emerged as champions.  The GOYA Girls' championship title went to the Annunciation Cathedral of Boston team while the St. Vasilios (Peabody) Team won the GOYA Boys' championship title.   The Basketball season will conclude on Sunday, March 20 with the Annual Basketball Banquet on sunday, March 20 at the Taxiarchae Church in Watertown.  More than 500 are expected to attend the event during which Metropolitan Methodios will present trophies to the players.
