Metropolitan Methodios Blesses Middle School Dedication

The Hellenic American Academy in Lowell, MA, marked an historic occasion on Saturday, August 28 with the dedication of a Middle School.  Grades 7 and 8 were added to the curriculum of the oldest Greek American School in the country, established by the founders of the historic Holy Trinity Church, the fourth oldest Greek Orthodox Parish in America.  Left to right: Metropolitan Methodios of Boston, Ted Leonsis, Vice Chairman Emeritus of AOL, Consul General of Greece in Boston, Constantine Orphanides, Vasili Tsamis, Stavros Niarchos Foundation Chief Operating and Investment Officer, Holy Trinity Parish Council President Lewis Demetroulakos, and Stephen Themelis, Chairman of the 7th and 8th grade program and Master of Ceremonies for the dedication.  Those attending the historic event had the opportunity to tour the newly renovated classrooms and to enjoy feloowship at a reception held at the Whistler House Museum of Art..
