Metropolitan Methodios elevates Fr. Theodore Barbas Protopresbyter of the Metropolis
His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios bestowed the title of Protopresbyteros of the Metropolis of Boston upon the Rev. Fr. Theodore J. Barbas during the Divine Liturgy at the St. Nicholas Church in Lexington, MA on Sunday, June 13. Fr. Barbas has been serving as Chancellor of the Metropolis since June 1, 2008. He is a graduate of Hellenic College (1989) and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology (1992). He served as the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries and Camp Director for the Metropolis of Boston for seven years. He was ordained to the Holy Diaconate in March of 1995 and served as Deacon to Metropolitan Methodios until he was ordained to the Holy Priesthood in September of 1996 at the Taxiarchae Parish in Watertown where he was assigned and served until he assumed his ressponsibilities as Chancellor of the Metropolis. Fr. Ted and Presbytera Daphne are the parents of Maria, Katerina, Yianni and Thea.
