SAINT METHODIOS FAITH & HERITAGE CENTER OPEN HOUSE TO BE HELD SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 13

His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios announced that the 2008 Open House at the St. Methodios Faith & Heritage Center will be held on Saturday, September 13.  A highlight of this year’s Open House Festivities will be the official opening of a new cabin for children with Special Needs which was donated by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.  

 The Metropolitan, assisted by Clergy from throughout New England, will preside at the Divine Liturgy at 8:30 a.m. in the Chapel of St. George on the picturesque grounds of the Faith and Heritage Center.  Following the Divine Liturgy, there will be a procession to the waterfront for the blessing of the water and the retrieval of the Cross from the lake by campers.  Then, all attending will be treated to a delicious barbeque luncheon.  There will be fun and games for children of all ages, face painting, canoe rides, basketball tournaments and much more.  Many parishes are providing bus transportation to and from Contoocook, NH.  Those wishing to take advantage of bus transportation are urged to call their parish immediately to indicate their participation.

            Metropolitan Methodios, the Clergy, campers and staff, parents and friends, and everyone from throughout New England and beyond are looking forward to a family day of worship, fellowship, good food, and fun and games.
