Metropolis of Boston Youth Office Holds Overnight GOYA Retreat in Weston

Thirty Goyans from the St. Demetrios parish in Weston, MA gathered for evening of fun faith and fellowship on Friday, March 17, 2006. This overnight retreat was an opportunity for the youth to step away from their daily lives and reflect on their spiritual growth during this Lenten season.

The night began with fun with basketball games and activities led by the Metropolis Youth Ministry Team. Following the fun, the young adults began a beautiful discussion with Fr. Demetri Costarakis and the Ministry Team. The children discussed the struggles they are faced with and how to make responsible Christian decisions. They also were challenged to take Great Lent as a time to reflect upon their spiritual lives and to take advantage of this opportunity to journey on the path towards Christ.
