Clergy Brotherhood Lenten Retreat

Over 55 clergy from the Metropolis of Boston recently convened for an overnight pre-Lenten retreat at the St. Methodios Faith and Heritage Center.  This annual event is an opportunity for the Metropolis clergy brotherhood to engage together in continuing education, worship, and fellowship.  His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios welcomed Rev. Fr. Stavros Kofinas, coordinator of the Network of the Ecumenical Patriarchate for Pastoral Health Care, as guest speaker.

Fr. Stavros gave three presentations which were accompanied by questions and discussion.  Subjects included the sacrament of repentance and confession, a case study on pastoral care, and a general discussion on pastoral care.  In between sessions our clergy had the opportunity to hike the trails and enjoy the unseasonably warm weather and engage socially while also attending vespers, Orthros and Liturgy.  After a closing lunch, our priests and deacons left all the stronger to begin their Lenten journey.
