Rev. Fr. Athanasios Nenes

Fr. Athanasios Nenes was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and grew up in Thessaloniki, Greece. From May 2006 up to his arrival at Taxiarchae - Archangels in Watertown, he served for 9 years, as priest at the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Parish in Manchester, NH. Prior to that assignment he served for 12 years as a priest at the Metropolis of Neapolis and Stavroupolis in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Fr. Athanasios attended classes at the Theological School of Belgrade “Saint Savvas” for 3 years and at the Department of Social and Pastoral Theology at the Aristotelion University of Thessaloniki. He holds Master’s of Divinity, Class of 2009, from Hellenic College/Holy Cross School of Theology. He have been involved with music and choirs since his childhood, and, before his ordination, he studied double bass and music at the National Conservatoire of Thessaloniki.
